Money is due this Thursday 12/4/08 so we can order your shirts asap.  Checks can be made out Pickaway Lanes.  Your 1st match is Monday vs. Logan Elm, 5:00.

Any student still interested in trying out for the 2008-2009 bowling team needs to get a packet from Coach Lupfer or Mr. Hayes.  Tryouts are 11/20/08, Pickaway Lanes, 6pm, and $2.  You must a physical on file and have attended a rules meeting. 

There will be a Teays Valley Cheer Association Meeting next Monday, October 20th at 7:00 in the Media Center.  We will be discussing the upcoming banquet.  All parents are encouraged to attend.

Please don't forget, all bills need to be paid immediately.  Football season is almost over!!!  If you have any questions, please refer to the payment chart on this site, your bill, or contact Mrs. Kinzer or Miss Fannin.

Congratulations to the Girls Tennis team on winning the Mid-State League Championship.  This is the first girls tennis league title in school history.

I have created a new team website for the 2008 Teays Valley 8th Grade Football Team. I will use this website to post weekly (or daily) announcements. It is a very versatile site. I have included our 2008 schedule (with directions to the away fields we play at), a 2008 roster (names, # and position), an announcement link (where new information will be posted),  a coaches' bio page, an intercative calendar for August - October (just click on an event to get a detailed description), a player recognition page and also a page for each game we will play this year (PLEASE SEND  ANY PICTURES YOU TAKE OF THESE GAMES TO MY PROVIDED E-MAIL ADDRESS SO I CAN POST THEM ON THE SITE). There is also a  forum where you can discuss Teays Valley, Ohio State and NFL football (new topics can be added by you). Finally, be sure to sign the guestbook page and leave me any suggestions or comments you have about the site, I would really like to know what everyone thinks!

Teays Valley Cheer Association Meeting

The TVCA will meet in a classroom in the 700 hallway on Monday, July 28th at 7:00pm.  We are requesting that each family be represented with a parent and their cheerleader to discuss mandatory fundraising activities and the updated cheerleader guidelines.  All cheerleaders also need to remember to attend an Athletic Rules meeting with a parent and don't forget to update your physical.

Congratulations!!!!

The cheerleaders would like to extend their congratulations to Miss Alyson Klise, the recipient of the 2007-2008 TVCA Scholarship.  Aly was a four year member of the TVHS cheerleading squad cheering both football and one year of competition.  She was also a member of The Cheer Center for 10 years, the track team, National Honor Society and Highland Baptist Church.  She was awarded the Coach's Award for Varsity Football this year and she also was the recipient of the Marty Kraft Award for 2008.  Aly plans to continue her education at Kent State University where she has made the cheer team.  Good luck Aly and thank you for being a part of the Teays Valley Cheer team!!!!
