2011-10-20 -  Sport: General Announcement - Soccer Tournament Games

Boys Soccer; Wednesday's rained out match at Marysville will be played on Friday, October 21 at 5:30.  Their bus leaves at 3:15.

Girls Soccer : Thursday's match at Hilliard Davidsonhas been rained out.  The match will be played on Friday, October 21 at 1:00 with the site changed to Hilliard Bradley.  Girls soccer bus will leave at 11:15.

The freshman football game v. Liberty Union on Thursday, October 20 will be played at Teays Valley East MS.  Game will start as close to 4:30 as possible.

The after school meeting far all TVHS students interested in joining the swim team for the 2011-12 school year will take place after school on Tuesday 10/20 in Ms. Heck's room.

The Teays Valley Cross Country team will not be attending the Liberty Union Invitational on October 8th, as seen on the schedule. The team will be competing at the Ray Russell Invitational at Jonathan Alder on Saturday, October 8th instead.

Open Bowling will be every Thursday from 5-6pm, starting 10/6/11, at Pickaway Lanes.  Cost is $8.00 and you will bowl 3 games.

The Cross Country schedule has changed for Saturday, October 8.  The teams will now be competing in the Jonathan Alder Invitational.  Good luck to all our teams.

The freshman football game scheduled for Monday, 9/26 v. Logan Elm has been canceled.

Thursday, September 22: Bloom Carroll has canceled the JV game.  The Varsity game will start at 5:30 PM.

Saturday, October 1:  Changes made to accommodate for our homecoming dance that evening:  Girls Soccer will play a varsity only contest v. Central Crossing at 10 AM.

The Boys games v. Pickerington North - the Varsity game will start at approximately 12:15 and will be followed by the JV game.

Tuesday, September 13th - The HOME freshman match v. Bloom Carroll will start at 5:00 in the Aux. Gym.  This match will be followed by our JV and Varsity matches.

Thursday, September 22- The match vs Hamilton Township will be played AT Hamilton Township, JV match to start at 6:00.  (no Freshman)

Thursday, October 13 - The match vs. Hamilton Township will be played AT Teays Valley, JV match to start at 6:00.

The general recognition of the Senior parents for our fall sport athletes will take place on Friday, September 16 before the varsity football game with Bloom Carroll.  Senior parents should arrive by 6:45 to be placed in introduction lines.  Introductions are scheduled to start at approximately 7:05.   Several of our fall teams will have additional senior recognition later the season.

The Boys Golf Banquet will be held on Thursday October 27th at 6:30pm in the Freshman Cafeteria. It will be a dessert carry in for all high school boys and all middle school teams. For more information please contact Brian Barnett at 614 - 588 - 2656.

The Fitness Center will be open for public use beginning Monday, March 1.  The facility will be open on Mondays, Wednesday, and Friday evenings from 7:00-9:00 PM and Saturday morning from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.   Community members and alumni older than 18 may use the facility during this time.  Students must use the facility during times it is supervised by school personnel.   This community time is limited to the fitness center only.

The 2009 Teays Valley East Middle School 8th grade football website is up and running. I will use this website as the primary source of information and communication with parents. The website has an announcements page (which will be updated weekly and at times daily), a link to our 2009 schedule (be sure that you are viewing the 2009-2010 schedule when you get to the schedue page), a 2009 roster (once it is set), a page for the cheerleaders, an 8th grade coaches' bio page, the "Touchdown Viking" and "Ironman Players" recognition pages, a practice / game / event calendar (maybe the most useful tool for parents; just click on the activities for any day on the calendar for additional information about that date), a photo gallery, a link to the Teays Valley athletic website, a link to the Teays Valley Athletic Boosters website and finally, a guestbook (please feel free to sign it and give me any suggestions and feedback you have about the website). A new addition this year is a countdown ticker to our first game. You will also find my e-mail address at the bottom of the page (please send any and all practice and game photos here, as I do post them on the website's photo gallery). The URL (web address) for the site is rather long, so I suggest copying and pasting the following web address http://teaysvalleymiddleschoolfootball.webs.com/ (there is no "www"). Once you have reached the website, add it the "My Favorites" section on your internet browser to easily be able to visit the site at any time. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we now have two middle schools, this website is only for the 8th grade team at Teays Valley East Middle School.
