ATHLETIC ELIGIBILITY...

OHSAA: Athletes in grades 9 through 12 must have passed classes counting five credits towards graduation during the previous grading period and be enrolled in classes counting five units of credit during the current grading period. (Exception: At the beginning of the school year, incoming Freshman must have passed 75% of their classes during the last grading period of the previous school year.)

Athletes in grades 7 and 8 must have passed 75% of their classes that met everyday during the previous grading period. All incoming seventh graders are eligible with respect to OHSAA eligibility standards during the first grading period.

Please note that Summer school classes can not be used to make up for failing credits from the last grading period. Periods of ineligibility begin five school days after the end of the grading period and continue until five school days after the next grade check. At the beginning at the school year, ineligibility begins with the first day of practice for fall sports.

TEAYS VALLEY: Teays Valley Board of Education eligibility standards require that all athletes have at least a 1.5 grade point average and no more than one failing at each grade check. For local eligibility, grades are checked at the end of each interim and the end of each grading period. Periods of ineligibility begin five school days after grades are checked and continue until five school days after the next grade check. At the beginning of the school year, ineligibility begins with the first day of practice for fall sports.

PHYSICAL INFORMATION...
