The 8th grade baseball team of Teays Valley East Middle School wrapped up their 2010 campaign with a 26-1 victory over Teays Valley West. The East Vikings are the 2010 MSL Champions and only had one blemish on their record, a tough fought 5-3 loss to Logan Elm. The Vikes finished the year at 13-1 (two rainouts against Amanda Clearcreek and Hamilton Township were not able to be made up), while every other MSL team had at least three losses. Austin Cox picked up his fourth win of the year by throwing three good innings. Austin struck out three and yielded only one run. Patrick Williams shut the door on West by striking three batters out in the 4th inning.

Teays Valley East Middle School defeated Canal Winchester 7-2 in 8th grade MSL baseball action Tuesday night. The convincing victory makes the Vikings 12-1 on the season and also locked up the 2010 Mid State League team championship for the longballers. Cody Seison again had a tremendous outing on the hill, pitching 6 dynamite innings while striking out 10 and giving up only 2 earned runs. Austin Cox pitched one inning of strong relief to seal the deal for the boys form the Valley. TVEMS whill close its season this Saturday against Teays Valley West, which they defeated 12-0 earlier this season.

The players of America's pasttime from Teays Valley East Middle School caged the Tigers of Circleville 6-2 to improve their record to 10-1 on the 2010 baseball season. Austin Cox pitched three strong innings to earn the win, giving up no earned runs and striking out four. Brandyn Darnell picked up the save by pitching four scoreless innings. The Vikings have now set their sails toward the Rangers of Hamilton Township where they will look to move to 11-1.

The TVEMS 8th grade roundtrippers bounced back from their first loss of the year with an incredible 4-3 win over Bloom Carroll. The Vikings now have a commanding lead in the MSL and control their own destiny in winning the MSL championship. The win improved the Vikings to 9-1 as they look to continue their MSL dominance this week. Cody Seison picked up his fourth mound victory of the year against no losses by allowing a meager three runs, with only two being earned, and striking out six.

Teays Valley East Middle School's 8th grade baseball team earned their 8th victory against no losses by conquering the Falcons of Fairfield Union for the second time this season. Chris Mills pocketed the mound win to put his first "W" in the win column for the year. Chris gave up two runs in three innings while striking out five. Cody Seison and Patrick Williams both provided excellent releif work to help seal the win. The Vikes will look to improve to 9-0 against Logan Elm Thursday night.

The Teays Valley East Middle School 8th grade baseball Vikings invaded Canal Winchester Tuesday night and scalped the Redksins 14-3 to move to 6-0 on the year. The invasion was led by Cody Seison, who threw five innings and earned four strikeouts, all while taking his record to 3-0 for the '10 season. Dalton Wilburn pitched two innings of strong relief to help seal the victory. The Vikes will look to continue their winning ways against Teays Valley West Middle School this Saturday.

The 8th Grade Vikings of Teays Valley East Middle School earned their 4th victory of the season by defeating Bloom Carroll 6-5. The Vikings let an early lead slip away, but chalked up the winning run in the bottm of the 7th by loading the bases early and pushing a run across with a hit batter. Brandyn Darnell put one in the win column for himself by pitching 2/3 of an inning of relief for starter Chris Mills, who also had an excellent outing.

The 8th grade Vikings run-ruled Hamilton Twp tonight 13-0 in 5 innings.  

Defensively: Moore - 4 innings, 3 K's, win; Willis - 1 inning, 1 K.

Offensively: Sisson & Younkin 3 hits; Willis, Mosier, Betts 2 hits; Irwin 1 hit.

The 8th grade Vikings run-ruled C.W. in 5 innings last night. 

Defensively: Mullens-1 and 2/3, 3 K's, win;  Betts-1 and 1/3;  Wright-2, 1 K.

Offensively: Wright, Sisson, & Hedge-3hits;  Betts-2hits;  Mosier, Irwin, Bevins, & Younkin-1hit.

The 8th grade Vikings continued their winning ways tonight.  Kyle Crum threw the entire game striking out 9 and not giving up any earned runs.  Offensively, Dakota Cornett led the team with 2 hits.  Will Jeanneret, Aaron Coogan, Colin Graves, and Grant Gilliland each had a hit in the game.  The team finishes the season tomorrow against Fairfield Union away.  

The 8th grade Vikings played a good Circleville team tonight and snapped a 4 game skid.  Aaron Coogan is credited with the win going 4 2/3 innings and striking out 7.  Will Jeanneret and Kyle Crum also pitched.  Offensively, Jeanneret and Colin Graves each had 2 hits.  Coogan, Jacob Studebaker, Dakota Cornett, Crum, and Josh Rainier also notched hits in this game.  The Vikings take on Hamilton Twp. tomorrow at home and play at Fairfield Union on Thursday to finish the season.

The 8th grade Vikings continued their winning ways beating Fairfield Union tonight.  Kyle Crum went 4 2/3 innings capturing the win.  Will Jeanneret came in for relief and closed the game out.  Offensively, Jeanneret, Aaron Coogan, Brenden Ferrell, Josh Rainier, and Grant Gilliland had 2 hits a piece.  Crum, Colin Graves, and Dakota Cornett each had 1 hit in the game.  The Vikings only had two strikeouts in the game, which is by far the lowest amount all season long.
