Freshmen boys closed out the 07-08 season by losing to Canal Winchester by the score of 26-40. The boys played a very good first half by trailing 16-20. We came out of the locker roomm flat in the 3rd quarter and only scored 2 points and could never make up the 8 point difference. The boys played hard and never gave up. The coaches are proud of the effort all season and look forward to each and every kid progressing through our program. The boys keep working hard and good things will happen.

Freshmen boys closed out the regular season by losing a close game to Hamilton Township by the score of 34-36. We were down by 10 points at halftime and had a chance to win the game with 7.5 seconds left. We missed a free throw and Cole cunningham reached in and got a jump ball to give us a chance. We shot a 3pointer from the corner that came up just short. The boys made a very good come back and never gave up. We play Canal Winchester saturday at 10AM in the first round of the freshmen tournament.

Freshmen boys lost their final home game by the score of 19-30. The score was 8-12 after 2 quarters and 15-22 after 3 quarters. We got the lead down to 3 points midway through the 4th quarter but could get no closer. We travel to Hamilton on Thursday and then the tournament on Saturday at 10AM.

Freshmen boys lost a tough game in overtime on Saturday by the score of 46-47. The boys were down by eight point in the 3rd quarter and battled back to take the lead by 6 points with 2 minutes to go in regulation and Westfall hit all their foul shots to tie the game and go to overtime. We traded baskets back and forth and had a chance to win with a last second shot by Tyler Driesbach that went half way through the basket and came back out. The boys fought hard and played their best game of the year. We play Circleville on January 5th.

Freshmen boys lost to Hamilton Township by the score of 29-49. The game was tied at 13-13 after the first quarter. We gave up 29 points in the second quarter and could never recover from giving up so many points. We play Saturday at home against a good Westfall team. We will work harder and try and improve.

The boys played a very good Logan Elm team tough for 4 quarters. We only had 6 players available and each kid gave everything they had for the whole game. We trailed 26-27 going into the 4th quarter and just could not pull it out. We travel to Bloom on Friday and will try and get a win on the road.

Freshmen boys did not play very well tonight. We trailed 4-22 at halftime and only had 6 points with about 3 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. We will work hard in practice and get better for our home game on Saturday with Hamilton Township.

Freshmen boys lost in overtime by the score of 41-47. The boys played hard and tough throughout the game and just came up short. We were down by 5 points with 20 seconds to go and made a 3pointer and Brenden made a layup as time expired to send the game to overtime. We could not score in the overtime, but I was really proud of the effort the boys displayed. We play a tough Logan Elm team on Saturday.

Freshmen boys ran into a very good Gahanna squad on Saturday. The boys fought hard and had the lead trimmed down to 26-35 at the half. We gave up 26 points in the 2nd quarter and could not recover from there. We only scored 12 points in the 2nd half and really never got going and Gahanna made some big shots. We travel to Amanda on Tuesday.

Freshmen boys lost a close contest on Friday by the score of 34-37. The score at the end of the 1st half was 14-19 and we closed to 25-29 at the end of the 3rd quarter. We made a nice run in the 4th quarter but could not come up with the win. We travel to a tough Gahanna team on Saturday.

Freshmen boys started off the season with a tuff loss at Circleville. The boys battled back from a 13 point defecit and lost the game at the buzzer as the kid from Circleville hit their only 3 pointer of the night. I was pleased with the effort and the boys never gave up. We need to get better at defending and will work hard in practice for our games on Thursday and Saturday.
