ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME

The Teays Valley High School Athletic Department will have their annual induction into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, February 3, 2006. The induction will be held prior to the start of the Boys Basketball game with Logan Elm. Anyone interested may nominate qualified individuals for consideration for induction. Nominations are due by Friday, December 16, 2005.

The Athletic Hall of Fame will consist of the Hall of Fame and the Honorary Hall of Fame. Nominees for the Hall of Fame must meet the following criteria:

A. Any athlete who graduated from Teays Valley High School beginning with the Class of 1963. (the first official graduating class) and has been out of high school for at least five years.
B. Any coach or administrator who has contributed significantly to the success of the athletic program. This individual may be nominated while still actively serving the district.
C. Athletic achievements in school and after graduation, along with school and community citizenship are major factors to be evaluated when determining a candidate’s qualifications for induction.

Nominees for the Honorary Hall of Fame must meet the following criteria:

A. Any other individual who has contributed significantly to the success of the Teays Valley athletic programs.
B. The nominee must have been inactive from the nominated position for a minimum of five years.

Nominations should include the following information:

A. Nominee’s name, current address, and telephone number.
(If nominee is deceased, please provide name, address, and telephone number of a surviving family member.)
B. Nominee’s graduation year or years of service
C. List of athletic accomplishments and sources of information. (Photocopies of media sources being used would be appreciated.)
D. Name, address and telephone number of individual submitting the nomination.
