The eighth grade volleyball team opened their season with a victory over Canal Winchester. The Vikings won in 2 games with scores of 25-16 and 25-19. The team served very well hitting 41 of 46 serves. The girls played a good game making some big defensive plays. It was an exciting opening match for the Lady Vikings.

Teays Valley defeated the Tigers last night. After losing the first game 23-25, the ladies fought back to win the next two by scores of 25-14 and 15-12. Both teams hustled and had some good defensive saves which made for an exciting game to watch. The Vikings are now 3-2 on the season and play at Pickerington Lakeview tonight.

The Vikings defeated a very athletic and previously unbeaten Bloom Carroll team by scores 25-23, 14-25, 25-19. It was a very good serving night for the Vikings and the Bulldogs struggled with their passing, both teams set the ball up well and had some nice hits with good volleys. Our record is now 4-3 and we travel to Hamilton Township on Monday Sept. 18.

Emily Kauffeld served for 9 points, Olivia Beavers served 7 points, Caitlin Cain served 5, Allison Cotner and Shelby Burchwell each served 4, Cammi Prantl served 3, and Kristin Gill and Miranda Taylor each served 2.
The team record is 1-0 and will travel to Logan Elm on Thursday.

The 8th grade volleyball team was defeated Thursday the 30th at Logan Elm,25-20, 19-25, 22-25. Cammi Prantl, Shelby Battle, and Caitlin Cain were leading scorers with 7 points each. Battle and Cain were also very aggressive at the net with Battle having 2 blocks and Cain with 6 kills.

Emily Kauffeld led the service scoring with 10 points (4 aces) followed by Cammi Prantl serving 8 points (2 aces). Rounding out the scoring were Allison Cotner - 5 pts., Caitlin Cain - 4 pts., Olivia Beavers - 2 pts., Kristin Gill - 1 pt.
Caitlin Cain recorded 5 kills and 1 block and Shelby Battle with 2 kills and a block.
The team record is now 2-1 and return to action tonight at Amanda Clearcreek.

Caitlin Cain led the team in service scoring with 10 points including 5 aces, followed by Emily Kauffeld serving for 9 points. Rounding out the scoring were Cammi Prantl with 6 points, Olivia Beavers - 5 points, Shelby Battle - 2 points, and Shelby Burchwell and Kristin Gill with 1 point each.
At the net, Cammi Prantl recorded 5 kills and Cain with 3.
Record is now 3-2 and host the Tigers of Circleville on Thursday September 13.

Olivia Beavers led the service scoring with 9 points (2 Aces) and Emily Kauffeld scored 8 points (6 Aces). Cammi Prantl knocked down 7 kills while Caitlin Cain recorded 4 kills and a block.
The season record is now 6-3.

At the net, Cain and Prantl each hammered 5 kills.

The 8th grade Lady Vikes came out strong and avenged an early season loss as they defeated the Amanda Clearcreek Aces in two games 25-22, 25-22. The Vikings were led by strong serving from Cammi Prantl who served for 28 points with 15 aces. Emily Kauffeld also served well with 3 aces. Caitlin Cain played strong at the net with 4 kills and 2 blocks.
The game was an example of great team unity. The season record stands at 8-4.

The 8th grade volleyball team (0-1) opened their season against Canal Winchester on August 25. The girls played very well and fought back after dropping the first game 17-25. Thanks to excellent serving and defense in the second game, the Vikings were able to fight back and win the second game 25-22. After a long, hard-fought battle the Indians came back to get the victory in the final game 21-25. The Lady Vikings next game is Thursday, August 28 with 7th grade beginning at 5:00.
