The Teays Valley golfers opened up the 2008 season at the Canal Winchester Invitational at Westchester.  The Vikings finished 4th out of 14 teams.  For the Vikings: Senior AJ Cleary had 77, Senior Nick Hoch added a 79 Senior Sean Flanery carded a 83 Senior Joe Dillon shot 85, Freshman Phil Cleary had 105 and Dillon Bragg shot 99. The Vikings are in action tomorrow at Deercreek in the Pre-Season Mid State League Tournament.

The Vikings came out of the gate hot and shot a 309 at the Pre-Season MSl Tournament at Deercreek. Unfortunately the score was good enough for 3rd place, behind Logan Elm (302) and Canal Winchester (305).  The league is very tough this season, there are a lot of good players on many of the teams. This is evident by the scores that are being posted during our league matches. Last season 309 would have won by 12+ shots, this year it is good enough for 3rd.  I am excited about the season, we are in an unusual place for us, It will be interesting to see how we respond to our situation.  For the Vikings: Nick Hoch shot 1 under par 71, AJ Cleary carded a 74, Joe Dillion added a 81, Sean Flanery shot 83, Dillon Bragg had 102 and Phil Cleary added a 104. The Vikings are in action on Thursday at The Players Club in the Teays Valley Invitational.

The Teays Valley Invitational saw 35 teams from across Cental Ohio and abroad play in an Am shotgun and a Pm Shotgun.  The Vikings played in the afternoon shotgun and finished 9th out of 18 teams. It was tough out there this afternoon, the wind picked up and greens dried out and made conditions tough.  For the Vikings:  AJ Cleary had 77 and finished 5th overall, Nick Hoch shot 85, Sean Flanery carded a 93, Cory Smoot had 94,  Joe Dillon had 97, and Dylan Beck had 107.  The Vikings are in action on Monday at Pickaway Country Club in the County Championship.

The Vikings traveled to PCC and finished second at the County Tournament. The Vikings were unable to overcome a hot Logan Elm team.  I believe our guys are starting to mature and come into their own as players, we just need to get over the hill in a big tournament.  For the Vikings: Nick Hoch carded a 77, Sean Flanery and Joe Dillon each had 79's, AJ Cleary added a 80, Cory Smoot shot 90 and Dylan Beck had 99. The Vikings begin the dual part of their MSL Schedule on Thursday when the Indians come to Foxfire for a 3:45 tilt.

In a early season clash of top teams the Canal Winchester Indians escaped Foxfire with a narrow 1 shot victory at Foxfire.  It was a match that saw the Vikings in control most all the way, but unable to secure the win. We had a lot of big numbers on our cards tonight and were unable to seal the win. Anytime you have a good team like Canal down, you must be able to close them out and post the W.  Scoring for the Vikings: Nick Hoch had 38, Joe Dillon shot 41, Sean Flanery carded a 42, AJ Cleary had 44, Cory Smoot had 49 and Phil Cleary added a 54.  The Vikings will be in action next at League leading Logan Elm on Tuesday at Pickaway Country Club.

The Vikings ran into league leading Logan Elm tonight a battled them tough early only to see a lead slip away.  Senior Nick Hoch was match medalist with a 37, Sean Flanery Shot 43, AJ Cleary had 46, Cory Smoot shot 49, Joe Dillon carded a 50 and Dillon Bragg had 52.  The Braves are a solid team from 1 to 6, they are having a good year.  I believe we need to regroup a little as Vikings and focus on the remaining MSL Matches as they are very important to the rest of our season. The Seniors are in a very unfamiliar position right now, I know these guys and they will get the ship righted and pointed in the right direction.  the Vikings are in Action on Thursday night at Foxfire against Bloom Carroll, tee time 3:45.

The Viking golfers rebounded nicely against the Bulldogs of Bloom Carroll.  It was a good team effort tonight in the win and it looks as if we are starting to find ouselves a little bit after a tough start to the season.  We talked about our focus for the rest of the season and now it is time to start relaizing the goals.  For the Vikings: Nick Hoch was match medalist with a 37, AJ Cleary carded a 43, Sophomore Cory Smoot shot a career low 43, Sean Flanery and Joe Dillon each had 49 and Phil Cleary added a 52. The Vikings are in action Saturday at Pine Hills in the Pickerington Invitational.  The Vikes will return to MSL action on Tuesday as we travel to Amanda, tee time is 3:45 at Upper Lansdowne.  The Vikings are 5 - 4 in MSL play.

The Viking golfers traveled to Pine Hills to play in the Pickerington Invitational. The Vikes took 4th place out of 12 teams in the big school division.  I thought we played real well today in the top 3 spots. Senior Nick Hoch took meadlist honors for the tournament with a 1 hole playoff victory over 2 other players. Nick shot 74 for the round. Other scores for the Vikings:  AJ Cleary had 78, Sean Flanery carded a 81, Joe Dillon and Cory Smoot each had 95 and Dylan Beck shot 104. The Vikings return to MSL Action Tuesday as we travel to Amanda at 3:45 at Upper Lansdowne.

The Varsity Vikings squeeked out a much needed win over a very improved Amanda team.  The Vikings steady play and their ability to finish the match was the big factor in our victory tonight.  The Vikings used consistent scoring from their 4 Seniors to outlast a very good Amanda team. Scoring for the Vikings: Nick Hoch and AJ Cleary each carded a 41, Sean Flanery and Joe Dillon each had 42, Cory Smoot had 47 and Michael Corbett added a 48.  The Vikings are in action at the Westfall Invitational on Saturday at Crown Hill Golf Course.  The VIctory puts the Vikings at 6 - 4 in the MSL.

Teh Varsity Vikes came away with a third place finish out of 19 teams in the Westfall Invitational.  Two of the Vikings, Nick Hoch and AJ Cleary were in a four way playoff for meadlist honors, with Cleary making a birdie on the first playoff hole to win honors.  Scoring for the Vikings: Hoch and Cleary 80, Sean Flanery 88, Joe Dillon 89, Cory Smoot 90 and Evan Faler 99. The Vikings are in action on Monday at Foxfire with Jonathan Alder.

The Vikings defeated Jonathan Alder tonight at the Players Club. Scoring for the Vikings: Nick Hoch and AJ Cleary each had 45, Joe Dillon added a 47, Cory Smoot shot 48 and Evan Faler added a 49. The Vikings are in action tomorrow at Foxfire against cross town rival Circleville, match time is 3:45.

The Vikings defeated cross town rival Circleville last night as they shot their best team score at home for the season. It was a good team win for us tonight and I thought all of our kids played real steady.  For the Vikings: Nick Hoch shot 40, AJ Cleary carded a 38, Sean Flanery and Joe Dillon each had 41, Cory Smoot shot 48 and Evan Faler had a 50. The Vikings play at Fairfield Union on Thursday, the match will be at 3:45 at Pumpkin Vine.

The Vikings traveled to Pumpkin Vine to play the Falcons and came up a winner. Senior Nick Hoch shot a carrer and school record 33 to help pace the Vikings.  AJ Cleary Carded a 40, Sean Flanery a 48, Joe Dillon 41, Cory Smoot 46 and Evan Faler 47. The Vikings MSL record is 8 - 4 headed to Tuesday's MSL Showdown at Deercreek, tee time is at 9:00.

The Vikings played at Westchester at the Bexley Invitational. They finished 9th out of 19 teams. Scoring for the Vikings: Nick Hoch - 78, AJ Cleary - 86, Sean Flanery - 93, Joe Dillon 91, and Cory Smoot 91. The Vikings are in action on Tuesday at the MSL at Deercreek.

The Varsity Vikings finished their 2008 MSL Season with a 3rd place finish at the league tournament and a third place overall league finish.  It was a tough day for us, we were unable to get anything to drop today.  There were four seniors playing in their final MSL match: Nick Hoch (78) A.J. Cleary (81) Sean Flanery (81) and Joe Dillon (91).  Other scores for the Vikings were Cory Smoot with a 94 and Evan Faler with a 97.  The Vikings are in action on Thursday at Pinnacle at 4:00.  The Vikings finished with a 12 - 6 MSL record.

The Varsity Golf team wrapped up their regular season with a win over Hilliard Darby and Grove City at the Players Club. IT was a good practice run for us since we  play our sectional tournament at the Players Club.  For the Vikings:  Nick Hoch carded a 39, AJ Cleary was match meadlist with a 37, Joe Dillon shot 46, Cory Smoot a 48, Evan Faler a 49 and Phil Cleary a 59.  The Vikings will begin tournament play on Wednesday October 1st at 9:00 at the Players Club. 

The Varsity Vikings opened up the 2009 season with a 5th place finish in the 14 team Wellington Invitational.  The young Vikings held their own with 3 Freshman and 2 Sophomores in the lineup. This was the first Varsity tournament for any of the players, they did a real good job of handling their nerves and getting around the course.  For the Vikings:  Jadee Davis had 88, Evan Faler had 87, Dillon Bragg had 91 Codi Burley and Zach Mogan each had 92 and Phil Cleary had 98. The Vikings are in action tomorrow at Foxfire in the County Championship.

The young Vikings finished second in the county to Logan Elm in the County Championship.  The Vikings carded a 360, good enough to edge Westfall for 2nd place.  For the Vikings: Zach Mogan had 87, Jadee Davis, Evan Faler and Codi Burley each added 91, Dillon Bragg had 95 and Phil Cleary carded a 101. The Vikings are in action tomorrow at Foxfire against Unioto.

The Vikings shot their lowest scor of the season at Foxfire against a good Unioto team. The young Vikings are getting better every match and everytime they tee it up.  This is going to be a fun year, these kids love to play and want to improve.  For the Vikings: Jadee Davis had 84, Zach Mogan and Evan Faler each had 86, Codi Burley and Barry ranft each had 94 and Dillon Bragg added 93. The Vikings are in action Friday at the Bloom Carroll Invitational at Pine Hills.

The Vikings Played in the BC Invitational and finished 10 out of 15 teams.  We showed are youth today, but the bright side is that we counted all 4 scores in the 80's. That is a positive step for these young players.  For the Vikings: Dillon Bragg had 84, Codi Burley and Zach Mogan each had 87, Barry Ranft had 88, Evan Faler had 91 and Jadee Davis added a 93. The Vikings play Monday at The Canal Winchester Invitational at Westchester.

The Varsity Vikings carded their lowest total of the season at Westchester.  The guys are starting to settle into their roles and play consistant golf, that is what we need right now. For the Vikings: Jadee Davis had 77, Barry Ranft had 81, Zach Mogan and Dillon Bragg each had 84, Codi Burley had 92 and Evan Faler had a 96. The Vikings are in action at the Pre-Season MSL at DeerCreek tomorrow at 9:00.

The Vikings finished 3rd in the opening MSL tournament with a 330.  The players did a good job today focusing on the task and making the score happen.  This is very encouraging as we start the dual part of the MSL Schedule.  For the Vikings: Evan Faler and Dillon Bragg each had 81, Jadee Davis had 82, Zach Mogan had 86, Codi Burley had 91 and Barry Ranft had 99.  The Vikings play Jonathan Alder tomorrow at the Players Club at 8:00.

The Varsity Vikings lost a tough match at Pine Hills Golf Club.  The young Vikings played well most of the night, but the Carroll experience was too much to overcome in the end.  For the Vikings:  Jadee Davis had 43, Zach Mogan had 44, Christian Parrish had 39, Codi Burley had 45, Dillon Bragg carded a 47 and Connor Spradlin added 49. The Vikings are in action on Tuesday at Foxfire at 3:45 vs Circleville.

The Varsity golf team defeated the Tigers at Foxfire by the score of 165 - 220. The Vikings had balanced scoring through each player. Scoring for the Vikings: Zach Mogan had 39, Christiaan Parrish had 41, Jadee Davis had 42, Dillon Bragg carded a 43 and Codi Burley and Evan Faler each had 45. The Vikings play on Saturday at the Pickerington Invitational.

The Vikings took to the links at Pine Hills Golf Club in the Pickerington Invitational and finished 5th out of 14 total teams. The Vikings used steady play and solid putting in putting together a great round of team golf.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 76 and finished in the top 10 of the tournament. Zach Mogan had 78, Codi Burley had 83, Dillon Bragg carded a 89, Jadee davis had 90 and Evan Faler had 92. The Vikings play  at home against Amanda on Tuesday.

The Vikings used a season low round of 162 on their home course to secure a MSL victory over the Aces.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 39, Jadee Davis had 40, Zach Mogan had 41, Dillon Bragg 42, Evan Faler a 48 and Codi Burley a 51. The Vikings play host to County Rival Logan Elm on Thursday at Foxfire.

The Vikings continued their solid play at home with a decisive win over Logan Elm. I have been very please with the way the kids have been playing and helping each other this season. These young kids are starting to grow and develop as players. The stretch run of the season is going  to be fun to watch, I think we can make some noise in the league.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 36, Evan Faler added a 41, Zach Mogan had 43, Jadee Davis and Dillon Bragg had 44, and Codi Burley had 49. The Vikings are in action at Westchester in the Bexley Inviational on Saturday.

The Vikings posted their lowest team total of the season with a 315 at Westchester.  I am very pleased with how they are coming along and looking forward to the stretch run of the season. Our Freshman our growing up and our Senior leadership is doing a good job of guiding the way.  Scoring for the Vikings: Zach Mogan had 76, Christiaan Parrish had 77, Dillon Bragg had 79, Evan Faler and Codi Burley each had 83 and Jadee Davis had 88. The Vikings are in action on Tuesday as they travel to Westchester to take on Canal Winchester.

The Vikings looked very sluggish in a win over Zane Trace on Monday. I attribute it to the first day of school and getting used to a new routine. I am looking for them to bounce back tomorrow.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 41, Zach Mogan had 42, Codi Burley and Dillon Bragg each had 44, Evan Faler had 47, and Jadee Davis had 53.

The Vikings and Indians played to a tie at Westchester tonight. After the first four players came in the Indians held a 164 - 171 lead. The Vikings 5 and 6 man each posted a 41 taking the team total to 164, while the Indians 5 and 6 shot 44 and 45.  With the two schools tied we went to the fifth man score and both were tied at 44. We then went to the sixth man score and both were tied at 45.  According to MSL bylaws each team is awarded a 1/2 a win.  Scoring for the Vikings: Zach Mogan, Christiaan Parrish, Dillon Bragg and Evan Faler each had 41, Jadee Davis had 44 and Codi Burley had 45. The Vikings finish up the dual part of the MSL season at home on Thursday against fairfield Union.

The Varsity Vikings finished up MSL Dual action with a season low 161 against Fairfield Union at Foxfire. The Vikes are starting to become comfortable playing the back 9 here at Foxfire and the patience is starting to show.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 39, Jadee Davis and Dillon Bragg each carded a 40, Zach Mogan had 42, Evan Faler a 49 and Codi Burley a 50. The Vikings will tune up for the Post Season MSL tournament on Tuesday at Deercreek.

The Varsity Vikings had a tough time dealing with the length of Deercreek as they finished 5th in the season ending tournament. The Vikes had a rough start and were unable to get things going all day.  It was a tough way to end the MSL season, these guys have come a long way in a year. I am looking forward to our sectional tournament and see how we fair in Division 1.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 82, Evan Faler carded a 83, Zach Mogan had 86, Codi Burley had 87, JAdee Davis had 90 and Dillon Bragg had 97.  The Vikings will play at Granville on Saturday.

The Varsity VIkings took to the links at Granville Golf Club in a rain filled invitational. The conditions were less than perfect as the rain fell all day. The Vikings finished 6th out of 13 teams in the tournament.  Scoring for the Vikings: Christiaan Parrish had 80, Barry Ranft had 89, Zach Mogan had 90, Dillon Bragg had 93 and Connor Spradlin had 95.   The Vikings had two teams playing in the tournament. Scoring for the second team: Evan Faler had 95, Jadee Davis had 96, Codi Burley had 103 and Morgan Happenny had 104.  The Vikings will play in the sectional tournament on Tuesday October 6th at the Players Club.

The Viking golf season came to an end as the Varsity Vikings did not qualify for District play.  It was a tough day as the guys kept working hard, but couldn't get anything to go.  Scoring for the Vikings:  Christiaan Parrish had 86, Dillon Bragg had 93, Jadee Davis had 95, Evan Faler had 94 and Zach Mogan had 102.  It has been a great season of Viking golf. I would like to thank the parents and fans for all their support this season.  Best wishes to the Senior's as they finish their high school years.

The Varsity Vikings opened their 2010 season at the Wellington Invitational. The Vikes finished in 6th place with a score of 345. The young Vikings played very well for the first match of the season. I am looking for some great things from these players as they learn, grow and develop into quality players and young men. Scoring for the Vikings: JaDee Davis 78, Senior Bradley Bragg 87, Evan Faler had 90, Codi Burley had 90, Freshman Chris Mills carded a 90 and Brendan Sethna had 105. The Vikings play Wednesday at Foxfire.

The Varsity Vikings played at Foxfire Golf Club and came up on the short end of the score. The Vikes battled through tough weather conditions in playing on Wednesday. Scoring for the Vikings: JaDee Davis had 77, Codi Burley had 87, Bradley Bragg, Evan Faler and Chris Mills each carded an 88, and Tanner Kerschner had 90.  The young Vikings continue to improve and will take their games to Pine Hill GC in the Bloom Carroll Invitational.

The Vikings traveled to Pine Hills Golf Course and the Bloom Carroll Invitational and came away in 7th place. The Vikings had a strong showing in the tournament and look poised to challenge for a county championship on Monday at Crown Hill.  Scoring for the Vikings:  JaDee Davis carded a 79, Dillon Bragg had 80, Chris Mills had 89, Codi Burley had 92, Tanner Kerschner carded a 94 and Evan Faler had 97. The Vikings travel to Crown Hill GC on Monday for the County Championship.

The Varsity Vikings finished as County Runner Ups this year to Logan Elm.  The Vikings had a tough day on the greens, but continued to battle all day. The Vikings look to regroup and head to Deercreek for the Preseason MSL on Tuesday.  Scoring for the Vikings:  Dillon Bragg cardeda 85, Jadee Davis had 86, Codi Burley had 87, Tanner Kerschner carded a 89, Evan Faler had 94 and Chris Mills had 97. The Vikings travel to Deercreek for the preseason MSL Tournament on Tuesday.

The Vikings invaded Deercreek poised to make a run at a 7th MSL Championship, only to come up a little short for the tournament. The Vikings finished a disappointing 4th in the tournament. We have been struggling lately and we now have a long break before our next match. We are going to work hard on our games and get them ready to make a run in the dual matches coming up beginning next Thursday with a match against Bloom Carroll on Thursday at Foxfire.  I did see many positive things today, we can learn from today and build on our performance and prepare to do battle in the upcoming weeks.  For the Vikings: Jadee Davis and Evan Faler each had 83, Dillon Bragg carded a 85, Codi Burley had 94, Chris Mills had 99 and Tanner Kerschner added a 101. The VIkings host Bloom Carroll a week from this Thursday at Foxfire.

The Vikings used consistent scoring from top to bottom.  Scoring for the Vikings: Jadee Davis, Codi Burley, and Tanner Kerschner each carded a 44, Evan Faler had 45, Bradley Bragg had 46 and Phil Cleary had 47. The Vikings are in action on Tuesday as they travel to Circleville.

The Varsity Vikings took to the links at Pickaway CC and defeated the Tigers of Circleville. The Vikings used consisten scoring throughout the whole line up in posting the victory.  Scoring for the Vikings: Jadee Davis shot 38 and was match medalist, Bradley Bragg had 44, Chris Mills carded a 45, Codi Burley and Evan Faler each carded a 46 and Phil Cleary added 47. The Vikings are in action at Pine Hills on Saturday in the Pickerington Invitational.

The VArsity Vikings played in the Pickerington Invitational at Pine Hills GC. The Vikings finished in 10th place for the tournament shooting 354. We are becoming more consistent in all phases of the game, we just need to keep working and believing in what we are doing. Scoring for the Vikings:  Jadee Davis carded a 85, Bradley Bragg had 89, Evan Faler added 88, Codi Burley had 92, Kyle Barnett had 96 and Chris Mills had 100. The Vikings will play Tuesday at Amanda.
