The lady Viking golfer took on the best Central Ohio has to offer in the first Mid Ohio Girls Golf League tournament today at Mill Creek. Kelsey Tosca carded a 107 as she work her way around the Ostrander golf course. "With this being the her first tournament of the year, I know the nerves and adrenaline had to be at a high. Kesly is a very capable player and I believe over the course of the season we are going to see some great things from Kelsey." Coach Barnett

Junior Kelsey Tosca traveled to Clovervalley golf club to compete in the Pre Season MSL Tournament. Kelsey carded a 105, which was good enough for a top 15 finish individually. "The conditions were really tough today as the scores were high. Kelsey did a good job of concentrating and keeping her focus, even when things weren't going her way. I think this is a good start to the MSL season for Kelsey and I look forward to a great season." Coach Barnett

Kelsey Tosca was the medalist today in a contest with Logan Elm and Westfall at Cooks Creek golf Club. Kelsey shot a 47 to lead all golfers and bring home low round honors. "I am very proud of Kelsey. She has had a few swing flaws the last couple of days, but has worked very hard in the evenings the last couple of nights to work out the bad swings. Her hard work and persistance paid off today, I think that this will be the first step of many low scores for her in the coming weeks. "Coach Barnett"

Kelsey Tosca took to the links at the Licking Springs Trout Club and came away with medalist honors. Kelsy's 44 was low score for the match that included teams from Licking Valley and Logan Elm. "I am real happy for Kelsey, she struggled the first couple of matches this season. She did not let that get her down and fought through the difficult time and now is starting to see some rewards from her hard work. I still believe that her best rounds are yet to come." "I am pleased with what Kelsey is doing so far in the season. I know she hasn't reached her full potential yet this year. Teays Valley junior Kelsey Tosca saw her season come to a end today at the girls sectional at Pine Hills GC. Kelsey shot a 92, just 2 shots shy of a birth into the district golf tournament. "I am very proud of Kelsey and what she has done this year. It has been a very difficult season for her,yet she has fought through all the tough times. I know she is disappointed now, but I believe Kelsey will use today as a motivational tool to prepare her for her Senior season. It is hard to be the only female golfer, there are no teammates to practice with or talk to, you are out there on your own. Kelsey is mature enough to handle the situation and excel in many different arenas. I am looking for Kelsey to come back for her senior season stronger and more determined then ever." Coach Barnett

County Champion!!!! In the only regular season meeting between the three county schools with girls teams and individuals. Kelsey Tosca outlasted the field in becoming the 2006 Pickaway County Champion. Logan Elm took home the team title with a score of 239, while Westfall was second with a 262. Kesley Tosca paced the match with a blistering round of 40. The round included 6 of 7 fairways hit and 6 greens hit in regulation. " Kelsey is on fire right now, I like her motivation and desire. She needs to keep the focus and drive as we head into the stretch run in the MSL and heading into the Sectional Tournament." Coach Barnett

Senior Kesley Tosca won the Mid State League Girls Golf Tournament today at Chapel Hill golf club in Mount Vernon. Kelsey fired an 80 on the day. The round started out with 7 consuctive pars. The back 9 started with a birdie and ended with a great 2 putt par. Kelsey has been medalist for 9 of the 11 MSL matches she has played in this season. "I am very proud of Kelsey and the way she is playing the game. She has worked extremely hard this season to achieve this level of success." Coach Barnett
Kelsey will be in action Thursday at the Estate Club and again on Saturday at the Pickerington North Invitational. She will begin tournament play on Tuesday October 3rd at The Links at Groveport. Good Luck Kelsey!!!!!

Kelsey carded a front nine 40, and grinded out a tough back nine in order to be 1 of 3 individual qualifiers for district play. "Kesley played a flawless front nine today, she made the turn and ran into some trouble. I am pleased with the way Kelsey fought off some bad holes today. She did exactly what she needed to do in order to give herself a chance to qualifiy for a state tournament opportunity. I know Kelsey has some golf issues that we will correct before Tuesday. Kesley Tosca finished a great season today at the district golf tournament at Clovervalley Golf Club. Kelsey battled the entire 18 holes as she attempted to qualify for the state tournament. Kelsey's bid fell short today, but her drive and determination would not let her go down without a fight. "I am real proud of what Kelsey has accomplished over the last 4 years. Her senior season was by far the best, she has accomplished many things this season. Kelsey has set the bar very high for girls golf at Teays Valley. Today Kelsey started off the round with a great par on #1 and she was off to a great start. Kelsey made the turn at 44 and proceeded to birdie the next 2 holes to get her back in the hunt for a state birth. She ran into some trouble later on the back 9 and finished with a round of 96. Kelsey has had a super year, she is a great representative of Teays Valley and the Ashville community. I am going to miss her next season, she is definetly a great competitor and a great person."Coach Barnett

This was a good experience for the girls as they continue to learn the game! The girls travel to Cooks Creek on Thursday to take on the Lady Braves with a tee time at 3:15.

MSL tournament is to be played at Pine Hills on Sep. 16.

The Lady Vikings traveled to Pine Hills to compete in the MSL tournament. The girls team score was a 470 for the 18 holes. The girls placed 6th. Keelia Nester led the Vikings with a 113.  Jesse James and Taylor Luft both shot a 117. Kayla Fowler had a 123 and was followed by Makala Pollock with a 141.  The Lady Vikings improved their team score by 10 strokes from the preseaon tournament and continue to show improvement! The girls play Fairbanks and Granville on Thursday at Foxfire with a 4:00pm tee time.

The Lady Vikes lost to Logan Elm earlier in the season by over 90 strokes. The Vikings came out Tuesday and showed everyone just how much they have improved. Although they lost to Logan Elm for a second time, it was by only 9 strokes. Keelia Nester was the individual medalist shooting a 47.  Jesse James shot a 60 while Kayla Fowler and Taylor Luft were both at a 61. Makala Pollock rounded out the Viking scores with a 63.

The Lady Vikings travel to Pine Hills on Saturday to play in the Pickerington Invitational. Te tme is at 1:00pm  They will also be in action on Oct. 1st as they play in their firat sectional tournament as a team. They play @ The Links in Groveport.

The Lady Vikings finished their season on Wed. competing in the sectional tournament. Keelia Nester led the Vikings with a 108. Jesse James shot a 117, Kayla Fowler a 121, and Taylor Luft and Makala Pollock both shot a 137. Although the Ladies did not advance to district play they are to be congratulated on completing the first season for a Lady Viking golf team. These five young ladies continued to work hard, show improvement, and remain dedicated throughout the season. CONGRATULATIONS LADIES!!!!

The Teays Valley girls golf team opened their season with the MSL Preseason Tournament. the girls placed 3rd in the Buckeye/Cardinal division. Makala Pollock led the Vikings with an 89 followed by Keelia Nester with a 94. Taylor Luft and Abby Roese rounded out the Viking score shooting a 108 and 115. Also participating in the tournament were Kayla Fowler and Alexia Beane.  The scores posted were for 16 holes as rain cut play short.

The Lady Vikings hosted the 2nd annual county tournament on Saturday at Foxfire Golf Course. The Vikings finished 3rd.

Medalist for the tournament was Taylor Saxton from Logan Elm with a 90.

Keelia Nester and Makala Pollock led the Viking attack with a 46 and 47 respectively. Taylor Luft scored a 53 followed by Kayla Fowler with a 55 to round out the Viking score. Abby Roese added a 65 and Alexia Beane a 73.

The Lady Vikes continue to improvement as they travel to Cooks creek to face Logan Elm on Tuesday at 2:30pm.

The Lady Vikes hosted Lakewood on Monday. Keelia Nester posted the low score with a 48. Makala Pollock and Kayla Fowler both scored 56. Taylor Luft rounded out the Viking score with a 57. The girls continue to show individual improvements in their game which is taking strokes off of our team scores.  The girls travel to Circleville on Tuesday to take on the Tigers. Tee time is set for 3:45 at the Pickaway Country Club.

The Lady Vikings hosted Liberty Union on Tuesday. The Vikings won the match 229 to 271. Medalist for the match was Taylor Luft with a 51. Good course management allowed Taylor to shave several strokes off of her average score.  Makala Pollock scored a 57, Keelia Nester a 59, and Abbt Roese and Kayla Fowler both scored a 62.

The Vikings travel to Brass Ring to play Logan on Monday, September 14 at 3:45.

The Lady Vikes finished second in the ZaneTrace Invitational bringing home their first team trophy.  Senior Abby Roese led the team with her career low 105. She placed 6th individually. Kayla Fowler shot a 107 tying for 7th place. Keelia Nester finished with a 112, while Taylor Luft and Makala Pollock both posted a 113.  Congratulations girls! We travel to Pine Hills on Tuesday for the MSL postseason. Tee time has been changed to 9:00am with a shotgun start.

Although they lost, the Lady Vikings took 28 strokes off of their team score when they traveled to Canal Winchester to play the Indians. Keelia nester led all golfers with a 45. Taylor Luft shot a 53, Makala Pollock a 55, Abby Roese a 56 and Kayla Fowler a 59.  Keelia's work on her short game really showed tonight as she took several strokes off of her average score. The team as a whole managed the course much better tonight.

The Lady Vikings competed in the MSL postseason tournament at Pine Hills on Tuesday. The girls placed 3rd as a team. Keelia Nester tied for third individually shooting a 97. Taylor Luft had a 105. Abby Roese a 109. Makala Pollock a 110.  Kayla Fowler a 115 and Lexi Beane 170. The girls continue to improve as sectionals approach. We 16 strokes better as a team than we did on Saturday and 49 strokes better than we did in this tournament last year. The girls host Logan today at Foxfire.

Taylor Luft and Brittany Tucker also played for the Vikes.

Kayla Fowler was medalist with a 51. Taylor Luft posted a 52. Keelia Nester and Makala Pollock rounded out the scoring with a 54 and 55. Quencie Williams and Lexi Beane also participated in the match.

The girls travel to Newark on Monday for a 3:45 tee time.

The Lady Vikings traveled to Licking Springs Trout Club to take on Newark Catholic. The Vikings won the match 207 to 267.  The medalist was Keelia Nester with a 50. Also scoring for the Vikings were kayla Fowler and Makala Pollock each with a 52 and Taylor Luft with a 53. Quuencie Williams and Lexi Beane also participted in the match.  The Lady's record now stands at 12-8. The Vikings play host to Canal Winchester on Wednesday at Foxfire. Tee time 3:45

The Lady Vikings increased the win column in league play by beating the Indians of Canal Winchester 198 to 218. Keelia Nester and Kayla Fowler tied for medalists with a 48. Makala Pollock shot a 50, and Taylor Luft rounded out the scoring with a 52. Quencie Williams also shot a 52 and Vivian Dupler posted a 58.  

The Varsity girls will finish the county tournament which was delayedby rain this afternoon at Cooks Creek.

Brittany Tucker and Lexi Beane led the JV match with a 55 and 58. Also playing were Suzanne Mays, Ann Divono,and Debbie Beane.

The Lady Vikings finished the county tounament which had beenpostponed gue to rain.

LE won with a 396. Westfall 408 and TV 442

Our girls had not been playing well when the rain postponed play. The team went into this afternoon wanting each girl to improve their individual score. Although we did not win we were successful in improving our second half of the tournament.
