TV won a close game with MT. Vernon is tournament paly 1-0. TV had great defense and A. Taylor only allowed 1 hit. TV advances to Pick Central to play at 2:30 in District semi finals. TV record is 22-5
TV had a shut out last night with pitchers Alex and Randi Taylor. TV played good defense to support the pitchers. TV collected 13 hits to beat FU 8-0. TV record is 18-4
TV played 2 good teams this weekend and beat Hartley 3-0 and Olentangy Liberty 5-1. Alex and Randi Taylor pitched for a collected 8 hits and allowing 1 run for the weekend. TV was able to produce 8 runs for the weekend. TV played good defense for a very good team win! TV is 16-4 for the season.
TV beat Bloom 3-0. TV played good defense and had good pitching from Taylor for the win.
TV beat Hamilton Twp. in 5 innings 15-0. A Taylor, Kinzer, and R. Taylor pitched to combine for a win. Tv collected 11 hits for the night.
Tv played in the Stellar classic at OSU this weekend. Tv beat Zanesville 11-1. Kinzer hit a triple to score 2 runs to end the game in a run rule. Taylor pitched 3 innings and Mays pitched 3 innings. TV played Reginal Div 1 semi finals Lebanon in a very well played game and lost 1-2. Tv played a great defense and pitching game and collected 7 hits against a very good pitcher. Tv just came up short against a very good ball team.
Tv beat C'ville 10-0. A. Taylor threw 6 innings and Mays trew 1 inning. Taylor took the win. TV collected 12 hits for the night. TV has only allowed 4 runs against them in 10 games. Tv have scored 54 runs in 10 games. Great job Vikes!
TV played a double header with Granville saturday winning both. TV record is noe 9-0. Alex Taylor pitched 11 innings allowing 1 run and Kate Mays pitched 3 innings allowing 3 runs. TV played great defense to support the pitchers and made some great plays. TV offense produced some big hits to move runners. Great start for the sb vikings!
Tv took their 2nd league game beating Bloom 8-0. Overall record is 7-0. TV has only allowed 1 run in 7 games. Great job.
Alex Taylor got the win with 10 k's and allowing 2 hits. Defense did a good supporting job to help with the win. TV used the short game ans speed to adavnce and score the runs. TV is 1-0 in league and 6-0 overall. Good job vikings!
Tv sb played Johnstown and Hilliard Davidson this weekend. Scores were 5-0 win and a 9-1 win. Alex Taylor took the win and pitches the first 5 innings of each game and Kate Mays pitched the last 2 innings of each game. TV did a great job supporting the pitchers on defense and did a sound job on offense with key hits and the short game. TV has only allowed 1 run in 5 games! Great job vikings!
The viking sb team is 3-0. They have scored 21 runs and have allowed 0 runs scored. Pitching and defense have been solid and the TV bats came alive last night with good hitting and short game. Great team effort!

The Lady Vikings have snatched another victory!!! Pitching 7 strikeouts in the game was Kristin Gill. Kristin Gill, Keri Cunagin, and Alexis Rice combined for a 1-3-5 double play. Kristin Gill while doing very well on the mound stepped it up at the plate with an impressive 3 singles and a home run over the fence with two on base, Ashley Holbrook and Chelsea Starkey each had a double, Rachel Teets and Amanda Schooley each had two hits, while Keri Cunagin and Paige Murphy each had a hit to contribute to the victory. The ladies record so far is 19-0. We play our final game at home tonight against the CIrcleville Tigers. Lets end with another Victory Ladies!!!!

Hitting for the vikings was Rachel Teets with 3 hits one of them being a double, Amanda Dooley, Krystal Adkins, and Alexis Rice each had a double, Kristin Gill had a single, Keri Cunagin and Paige Murphy each had a hit.

The Lady Vikings beat Fairfield Union 7-1. Kristin Gill pitched for the Vikings with an impressive 11 strikeouts and only gave up 3 hits. Leading in hitting for the Vikings was Cunagin and Starkey each with two hits, also hitting was Holstein, Dooley, Bowser, and Holbrook all with one hit each. Keep up the good work Ladies!!!
Pitching for the Vikings was Kristin Gill with 8 strikeouts and she gave up only 3 hits. Hitting for the Lady Vikings were Kerri Cunagin had 4 hits with 2 of them being doubles, Allie Holstein and Chelsea Starkey with three hits each, one of Chelsea Starkeys' hits was a double, Kristin Gill also had three hits one of them being a triple, Rachel Teets and Amanda Schooley each had two hits and one of Amanda Schooleys hits was a Triple, and Amanda Dooley had one hit. Way to go Ladies lets keep the bats going the rest of the week!!!!

Randi Taylor pitched for the victory with 10 strikeouts. Leading in hitting was Weber with 2 singles and an RBI, Cunigan, Teets, and Schooley all with Singles. Way to go Ladies!!!
To end the double header we won. Pitching for the vikings was Weber and Teets who did an excellent job of stepping in and pitching. Weber had 6 strikeouts for 3 innings and Teets had 1 strikeout in two innings. Vikings hitting was lead by Starkey with a double, Weber, Teets, and Prantl each had a single. Way to go ladies and keep up the good work. The Vikings will face Lancaster on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at home.
Vikings beat Logan Elm!!!! Taylor pitched for the win with 12 strikeouts. Hitting for the team was Weber with 2 Singles, Holstein with a single and an RBI, Teets and Adkins each had a single.

Hitting for the lady vikes was Cammi Prantl with 2 singles and a double, Amanda Schooley had a triple, Kristin Gill and Amanda Dooley each had a single, and Chelsea Starkey had three singles. Kristen Gill pitched for the victory with an impressive 12 stikeouts. This was her first time pitching for the JV team as she is the freshman pitcher normally. Rachel Teets had a very good catch to end the game in left field. Amanda Schooley did great job catching and making plays happen. Allie Holstein and Jamie Weber were the most aggressive on baserunning and on defense they always make things happen. Teays Valley opened Saturday's tournament play with a loss to Lancaster. The Vikings played a solid game but had a hard time getting hits past the Lancaster defense. Kristin Gill was the loosing pitcher. She recorded 6 strike-outs.
In game two of the Upper Arlinton Tournament the Lady Viking came away with the win over Davison. Strong pitching from Kristin Gill helped secure the win. Gill recorded 13 K's. Chelsea Conn lead the hitting with a double and a single.
In the final round of tournament action, Teays Valley won over Mt. Vernon. With the win the Lady Vikings placed third in the tournament. Pitching for a third straight game was Kristin Gill who recorded 13 more strike-outs for the day. Leading the Vikings in hitting were Tiffany McLaughlin and Diane Dziewatkoski. Both had a double and two singles. The Lady Vikes are now 7-3 and face Hilliard on Tuesday.
The Lady Vikings opened the Upper Arlington Tournament with a win over the hosting Upper Arlington Bears. Ashley Holbrook was the winning pitcher. She recorded 8 strike-outs for the evening.
The Vikings got the bats going in game two against Pick North to split the double-header. Ashley Holbrook was the winning pitcher with 4 K's.

The Lady Vikings will travel to Pickerington Saturday to face Pick North in a Double-header. KEEP THOSE BATS HOT LADIES!

In game two of Saturday's DH, the Lady Vikings fell one run short in their 5-4 loss to Pick Central. Starting pitcher, Ashley Holbrook, recorded 3 strike-outs and closer, Kristin Gill, recorded 4 K's. Chelsea Conn led the hitting for Teays Valley with a double and a single. Also hitting, all with a single each, were Megan Arnold, Tiffany McLaughlin, Taylor Davis, Ashley Holbrook, Paige Murphy, and Taryn Fletcher. 8th Grade
The Lady Vikings jumped out to 4-1 lead in the first inning and never trailed in the game. The Vikings scored 4 runs in the first, 1 in the second and 4 more in the fifth. Fairfield jumped out to a 3-0 lead before the Vikings scored 1 in the fifth, 3 in the sixth, and added 5 in the seventh inning to defeat the Falcons 9-3 in their opening game. Suzanne Mays pitched four innings allowing 1 ER, giving up 2 hits, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts. Brittany Tucker went the last 3 innings giving up no hits, walking 3 and had 4 strikeouts. Gabby Gregg was behind the plate. Getting hits for the Vikings were Tilly Hipwell, Gabby Gregg, Brittany Tucker, Suzanne Mays, and Ciera Coleman. The ladies finished their regular season defeating Circleville 19-4. The Vikings are now 12-0. They play in a tournament Saturday at Mt. Sterling to finish their season. Pitching for the Vikings in the win was Brittany Tucker with 7 strikeouts, 5 walks, and allowing 6 hits. Aerin Ledbetter and Jessica Tackett shared the catching duties. Gabby Gregg hit a triple and single, Allie Cartwright hit a 3 RBI double, Aerin Ledbetter hit two singles, and Darby Martin, Brittany Tucker, Carly Rice and Tilly Hipwell each had singles. The Vikings defeated Whitehall 20-4. Suzanne Mays pitched with 10 strikeouts, 2 walks, and only giving up two hits. Gabby Gregg and Jessica Tackett combined catching duties. Hitting for the Vikings were Maddy Branch, Aerin Ledbetter, Suzanne Mays, Ashley Fortner, Mailli Robinett, Carly Rice and Tilly Hipwell. The ladies are now 11-0 on the season finishing their regular season tonight at home against Circleville.
The Lady Vikings defeated Bloom Carroll 5-4 after being down 4-0. The Vikings scored 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth, and 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth while holding the Bulldogs scoreless in the last four innings of the game. Brittany Tucker pitched striking out 10, walking 3, and giving up 11 hits. Gabby Gregg was the behind the plate. Allie Cartwright had a triple and two singles, Baillee Sturgeon, Darby Martin, Brittanys Tucker, Gabby Gregg, Suzanne Mays, and Tilly Hipwell all hit singles. Great comeback ladies!

The Vikings defeated Pickerington Lakeview 8-2 scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning after being down 4-2. Pitching for the Vikings was Suzanne Mays through four innings allowing 3 hits, walking 3, and striking out 7. Brittany Tucker finished the game walking 3, striking out 5, and allowing 1 hit. Gabby Gregg was behind the plate. Brittney Tucker and Suzanne Mays each had a triple, Gabby Gregg and Bailee Sturgeon both had a double, and hitting singles were Aerin Ledbetter and Allie Cartwright. The Vikings are not 7-0 on the season.

The Vikings defeated Newark in a double header on Saturday. The first game was 5-4, with Suzanne Mays pitching and Gabby Gregg behind the plate. Suzanne gave up 5 hits, with 4 strikeouts, and allowing 4 walks. Gabby Gregg had a double and hitting singles for the Vikings were Allie Cartwright, Darby Martin, Brittany Tucker, Carly Rice, Suzzanne Mays, and Aerin Ledbetter. The second game Brittany Tucker pitched in the 7-2 victory with Gabby again behind the plate. Brittany allowed just 1 hit, walked 3 and struck out 8. Gabby Gregg again had a double with singles from Allie Cartwright, Bailee Sturgeon, Darby Martin, Brittany Tucker, Ashley Fortner, and Alyssa Bell. The ladies are now 3-0 on the season.
The Seventh Grade Softball team opened with a win against Canal 14-1. The winning pitcher was Brittany Tucker with Gabby Gregg behind the plate. Brittany had 7 strikeouts giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk. At the plate Gabby Gregg and Brittany Tucker each had a triple, Brittany and Darby Martin both went 3 for 4 on the night at the plate. Bailee Sturgeon, Suzanne Mays, Ashley Fortner, Carly Rice, and Mailli Robinett also all had singles in the game. Congratulations on a great opener! |
